The quote is the quote
Purchase, freight, duty, port charges, our fee — itemised before you commit. If something genuinely moves, you hear it the day it moves, not at handover.
We import cars into Kenya on behalf of buyers who would rather not spend three months learning customs procedure.
The difference matters. A dealer sells you what is on their yard. We go and get what you actually asked for.
Ke Concierge works from Reinsurance Plaza in Nairobi. We act for the buyer — the person paying — which means our incentive is your landed cost, not clearing stock somebody else already bought.
Importing a vehicle into Kenya is not difficult, but it is unforgiving. There is an age rule that disqualifies a car outright. There is a mandatory inspection that must happen before loading. There are four original documents that must reach Mombasa, and a fifth set of copies the consignee has to supply. Miss any of it and the vehicle sits at the port accruing charges while you make phone calls.
We do this often enough that none of it is a surprise. That is the entire proposition.
Not a mission statement. Just the things we will not do.
Purchase, freight, duty, port charges, our fee — itemised before you commit. If something genuinely moves, you hear it the day it moves, not at handover.
If a unit fails the age rule, has a bad auction grade or simply does not suit how you drive, we say so. A refused sale beats a refused clearance.
Duty, port handling, agent fees, registration. The full document file is yours at handover, not a summary of it.
You deal with a human on WhatsApp who knows your vehicle's chassis number, not a ticket queue.
The right source market depends on the car. Buying a German saloon out of Japan rarely makes sense, and neither does buying a Japanese hybrid out of the UK.
The default for good reason: enormous auction volume, meticulous condition reporting and right-hand drive as standard. Best value on hybrids, SUVs and reliable family units.
Right-hand drive premium European stock — BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Land Rover — usually with fuller service history than equivalent Japanese units.
Low-mileage, well-maintained cars released early because of local ownership rules. Excellent condition, shorter sailing time.
High-spec SUVs and luxury units at competitive money. Check drive side carefully — we do this before shortlisting anything.
The strongest source for pickups and commercial double-cabs. Hilux and Ranger stock in particular.
Regional and quick, with no ocean crossing to wait out. Good for specific models and shorter lead times.
Come in and talk it through in person, or do the entire thing over WhatsApp from wherever you are. Plenty of our clients are abroad and never set foot in the office.
Tell us the car and the budget. We will tell you honestly whether it lands — and for how much.
